Hey Lindsey!
Well, I think the first thing i would do is have a long talk with your attorney to see what they think. I am sure that they have an idea on what the purpose of this meeting is. It doesn't have to be a bad thing Lindsey.....what if it is a good thing and they have some good ideas? Think about what you have been doing......what you have accomplished, where you are heading. Are you moving farther along than the children's father? Is he not following recommendations? Is there fear that the children will not be able to be with him? I don't know the answers to these questions........just throwing thoughts out there for you. Staffings are usually just a way for everyone to come to the table and talk about issues that come up; and doesn't always consistute something bad. In the old days of DHS they always had staffings and never had a family team meeting and there were usually a lot of issues that needed to be worked out. So, make a list of any questions you have, concerns you have and also take time to get a list of your accompishments and strengths and any information you have about what you are doing. Again, talk to your attorney, talk to your DHS worker and then take a deep breath. Remember Lindsey, it doesn't have to be a bad thing. Hang in there sister and let us know how it works out. We are here to support you and you dont' have to do this alone. Judy
